An author, judge, technology consultant and trainer who spends the majority of his time teaching, training and writing about dogs Ed is an International authority on training dogs and handlers to track he is a leading authority on general health and training issues.
As a member of the Dog Writers' Association of America (DWAA), Ed has been nominated nine times and twice awarded the prestigious Maxwell Award for his works. He has authored 8 books and over 200 short stories, articles and columns for a variety of dog publications.
Recognized by many involved in the sport of tracking as being one of the leading and most innovative trainers in the sport he and his dogs have earned 13 TD titles, 4 TDX titles, 5 VST titles, and 3 CT titles while training dozens of other breeds and their handlers to be able to attain advanced titles with their dogs. His students follow in his foot steps with enthusiasm and pride.
When not writing, consulting or judging the sport, he is involved in teaching tracking classes and hosting seminars in basic, advanced and urban tracking throughout the United States and Internationally
